Role: Storyboard Artist “Project CLD”

We are seeking a Storyboard Artist to help visualize key moments in our light-hearted, humorous educational adventure series for children. This is a short-term, contract-based role ideal for someone with strong storytelling instincts and the ability to convey emotion, timing, and movement through clear, expressive boards.

About the Role:

The Storyboard Artist will translate the script into visual sequences that define character actions, camera movement, and scene transitions. You will collaborate with the Creative Director, Scriptwriter, and Project Manager to ensure your work aligns with the tone and pacing of the episode. Your boards will serve as the blueprint for the animation and visual direction of the episode.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create storyboards that clearly communicate action, emotion, and scene structure.

  • Interpret the script and translate it into shot-by-shot panels.

  • Establish camera angles, character staging, and visual continuity.

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Project Manager to revise boards based on feedback.

  • Deliver organized files prepared for animatic assembly.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in storyboarding for 2D animation.

  • Strong visual storytelling skills with a clear sense of timing and staging.

  • Proficiency in storyboard software such as Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, or equivalent.

  • Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Portfolio or storyboard sample required.
